Our Menu (Week of December 9, 2012)

I’m having a lovely and c-o-z-y season.  Lots of cooking happening in my kitchen this week from basic meals to holiday baking.  I’ll share some recipes with you this week. 🙂 Wishing you all a blessed season.  ♥

Here’s what’s cooking in our home this week:

Breakfasts

Note: I often eat a different breakfast than the ones I feed my family.  For example, lately I eat a bit of Greek yogurt with fresh berries, peaches, ground flaxseed, wheat germ, almond milk, and a few other ingredients.  It fills me up and is incredibly nutritious.

Breakfasts

  • French toast, fruit, cider
  • Oatmeal with bananas, dried cherries & flax, smoothies x 2
  • Baked cider doughnuts, winter fruit salad
  • Scrambled eggs, fruit parfaits
  • Breakfast pizza squares, o.j., bananas
  • Lemon blueberry muffins, winter fruit salad

Lunches

  • P.b. sandwiches with homemade blackberry jam, peach-banana fruit salad
  • Tortellini bake, fruit
  • Turkey tea sandwiches, berries,
  • Zucchini cakes, fruit, smoothies
  • Munchie’s Choice Snacky lunch
  • Leftovers plus fruit x 2

Dinners

  • Dinner out for date night/Munchie eats with grandparents
  • Breakfast for dinner: lemon blueberry pancakes, veggie omelets, sausage, toast with marmalade, fruit
  • Savory chicken with potatoes, green beans, rice casserole
  • One-pot pork chops, garlic sautéed broccoli, sweet potato bake
  • Broccoli cheddar soup, dilly bread
  • Easy beef mushroom stroganoff, rosemary potatoes (yes, carb overload, problem? 😉 ), spinach salad
  • Leftovers Night

Snacks, Desserts, & Fun Extras

  • Fruits & raw veggies, crackers with hummus & cheese, yogurt with fruit
  • Lots of holiday baking–wheeeeeee! <3

Freezer Cooking & DIY Session:  I don’t do a traditional once-a-month session, but generally choose 2 or 3 recipes. 

*No freezer cooking until the new year!
