I keep wondering if I should skip the grocery hauls, but then sweet gals (and guys, actually!) let me know they’re waiting for another one. Aw shucks, well I must certainly keep them coming then! 🙂
Over the weekend, I emptied my pantry out. It just wasn’t working for me anymore and I felt like I was wasting food, forgetting what I had, and losing steam when it came to meal plans.
I think the emptying of the pantry (and the food cupboards in the kitchen) might be the best thing I’ve done organization-wise in a long time. I already feel…well, refreshed, if you will. The meal ideas are coming back to me (hip hip!) and I’m eager to cook more. I think I was in a post-holiday cooking slump. Of course, I’ve been cooking all these months, but I haven’t been feeling it and my meals have been a bit lackluster. My family hasn’t complained, but then they wouldn’t anyway–they’re too nice plus they’re easy to please. But I’m back! And I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this lasts because it feels so good to do my little kitchen dance again.
